The long term goal for 90's has been that we will achieve the highest international reputation among photogrammetric research. The primary prerequisite for this has been that we will have considerable amount of fundamental research of our own origin. The second one is that the group will develop into a clearly international research unit for scientists on both post-graduate and post-doctoral level. The third one has been that the fundamental research carried out here also has a clear relevance to practical usage. The knowledge achieved during the video digitizing projects has already supported these goals and it will be further exploited in the future projects.
